This video clip, Statistics: Decisions Through Data shows how data (in the study of Statistics) has enabled mankind to make big and small decisions, that either impact the individuals or the bigger community.

Look out for the following segments:

- Describing Data

- Producing Data

- Conclusions from Data

*This video about...* There are more than 350 different commodities grown in California. In a state that provides approximately 15 percent of U.S. agricultural products, statistics are an important tool for agricultural economists to keep up with supply and demand. Let's hear how the statistics help farmers to make decisions!

Sorry For late posting. The video was with me and i arrived home at 6.15pm

ReplyDeleteSorry harsh for letting you post it in such a hurry

ReplyDeleteDear both

ReplyDeleteGood effort... except that I find it a bit difficult to follow the explanation when the clip did not fully capture the explanation on the board.

Check out with the rest who managed to do it successfully. That would help in the next round of similar tasks :)

The explanation was clear :)

One suggestion when explaining using the diagram, it is not be necesary to 'zoom' in. Instead, at a fixed position to capture entire diagram would be good.

Cheers

Hii~ :D i think your video was recorded the wrong way xD Calvin's hand was also shaking, so the words looked quite blur. and at 0.16, the words were starting to move out of the video. at 0.19, I only could see Harsh's hand == only at 0.22 then he moved it back in. The graphic is also very blur.. but your explanation is good :)

ReplyDeletePONDA~ :D

Dear Harsh and Calvin

ReplyDeleteI think that it would be easier to understand what you are doing if you are able to video it better and then you could also the method used in solving the problem like explaining how this method works and what other people have to look out for while solving the equation.

From Vivek,S1-05

Hi Harsh.I think you need to try and explain more clearly,as to me,the explanation was not very audible. The 2 of you should try and revise a little about your explanations before doing the actual video. Also,I could not see the number sentence well as the camera,or whatever you used to record the video, was shaking a little.try to improve guys!=D

ReplyDeleteHi Harsh and Calvin,

ReplyDeleteI think that the video will be easier to understand if it can be clearer as not the whole whiteboard is recorded and the audio is not that clear. However, it is a good effort and I think that both of you are able to do better if you can explain how the method works and what are the things to take note.

Hi :D The position of the camera was in the wrong way, so its kind of hard to see. The video is also kind of blur to see and understand. If you guys could make it clearer and a bit neater, it would be great. Great effort (:

ReplyDeleteHi Harsh and Calvin,

ReplyDeleteThey need to rotate the video so that we do not need to turn our heads to see the video properly. The sound quality is also unclear so they could improve on that by doing the presentation somewhere that is more quiet. They also missed out some of the filming where they moved the camera.

They should make their explanation more clear as the use words and phrases such as this somehow ends up over there which causes us to think that they are unclear of what they are explaining. they should also try to shoot the entire diagram in the video instead of a small portion so we can understand the entire thing.

Matthew Lim

Hi Harsh and Calvin,

ReplyDeleteYour video needs to be rotated so that we do not have to stain our heads. The video could have been good in a quiet environment. The camera was too shaky and the working went out of screen at times.

The explanation was quite clear. From the math point of view, it was excellent. You should improve on the presentation.

Hello Harsh and Calvin,

ReplyDeleteA very good effort to explain to us how to solve the question. You also listed down every step and even did an extra method for us to understand it more clearly. That was very good. But maybe you can just brush up on the camera handling as everything was shown sideways but overall it was a very good tutorial.
