Question 3 — A quadrilateral is drawn on a piece of paper. It has one pair of opposite sides equal in length, the other pair not equal in length, and a pair of opposite angles that are supplementary1. Identify this figure, and justify your answer with reasons.

Answer — A trapezium as the requirements are all met.


Question 4 — ‘All parallelograms are squares?’ Do you agree with this statement?

No all squares are parallelograms that is true but parallelograms need not be squares as they do not have to 90 º degrees in any angle

question 5 — ABCD is a parallelogram. If E is midpoint of AD and F is midpoint of BC show, with reasons, that BFDE must be a parallelogram.

It has to be as firstly if you draw a imaginary line EF you would notice that EF is parallel to BA and CD. Secondly, We know that lines BC and AD are equal thus BF and AD are equal. Therefore we can conclude that BFDE is a parallelogram
